Bancroft’s School

Branding | Illustration | Print Design

Design and illustration for Bancroft’s – an independent co-educational day school for children aged 7 to 18.

I was approached by Bancroft’s to collaborate on some design projects for the school. They were keen to use more illustration across their printed communications and looking to develop an illustration style to complement their existing branding.

My first brief was to design a suite of pull-up banners for their Open Days. The banners are simple yet smart, featuring bespoke, doodle-like illustrations to add warmth and a unique element.

Since then, I’ve continued to work with the school on various design, illustration, and marketing projects – from developing the Prep School’s branding, to print ads and other marketing materials.

Prep School Brand Additions

Prep School brand development, positioning Bancroft’s Prep as a warm, friendly, and happy place for children aged 7 to 11 to reach their full potential.

Prep School Mascot Illustration

Inspired by the lions that feature in the school crest, Spotty the Lion is the Prep School’s friendly mascot.

I was tasked with redesigning Spotty, in keeping with the illustrations I’d previously produced for the school. I created a few variations of Spotty to be used in different ways; from a ‘count the spots’ game, to sticker designs and more.

“I’m absolutely thrilled with the work Emma produced for us this month. She was quick, incredibly creative, and added a personal touch which I love. I’m eagerly looking forward to working on many more projects with her in the future.”

Abigail Evans, Director of Admissions, Marketing & Communications at Bancroft’s School
